Work Traveling

I haven’t had to travel for work in years. Not that I’m complaining, I’m definitely not, but it makes it that much more odd when you are suddenly called up for an offsite meeting. The more amusing piece here is that we (as coworkers) don’t really know each other in sight. Working fully remote affords us the luxury to never have to worry about going into an office, but it also means we don’t really know who our coworkers are.

I ran into one of my coworkers at the airport and only knew who he was because he was wearing a company shirt. I hasn’t bothered. And since there are only three of us in the local area, it was fairly easy to determine who it was. It was nice to meet them, but still just a bit odd as well.

The trip itself was fairly uneventful, more work than play, but there isn’t much room to complain. It was a beautiful place and I got to meet beautiful people.
